At least six days have been set aside this month, to hear applications on Angelo Agrizzi’s fitness to stand trial.

The state is arguing that Agrizzi’s absence from court proceedings has caused an unreasonable delay in the start of the trial.
His lawyers have however argued, that his health has deteriorated, since he suffered a heart attack in October 2020.
Agrizzi is charged with fraud and corruption in connection to the R1.8bn Bosasa and Correctional Services tenders.
The sitting is set to begin on Tuesday.
