A richest-trader list needs comparable financial evidence. Social-media popularity and trading screenshots do not establish personal net worth. Our company market-capitalisation guide explains why a defined asset value and private wealth are different measures.
Verify the legal provider
The FSCA offers an official provider search. Check the legal entity and applicable authorisation rather than relying on a username or licence number displayed in advertising. The regulated-entities information explains the supervisory context.
An authorisation is not an endorsement of someone’s wealth or a guarantee of profitable trading. It should not be assumed to cover every advertised activity conducted under a similar name.
Examine a performance claim
A screenshot might show a demo account, an open position or one closed trade. A complete claim needs the period, deposits, withdrawals, realised losses, fees and verification of the account. A large trade’s notional value is not automatically profit.
Revenue from courses or subscriptions is different from returns earned by trading. Our million-rand financial guide explains the related distinction between revenue, retained profit and net assets.
Why exact wealth rankings need more
A personal valuation needs assets, liabilities, ownership and a common date for each entrant. Photographs of cars and property do not establish finance balances or equity. A repeated entertainment estimate does not become audited merely because several websites copy it.
This guide does not assign invented strategies, employers or precise fortunes to ten purported traders. Nor does it describe a strategy as guaranteed profitable from promotional claims.
Evaluate a service on its actual terms
Obtain the legal counterparty, product description, costs, withdrawal arrangements and complaint route. Verify the entity independently and identify what activity the authorisation covers.
For another public-financial context, see Johann Rupert's business interests. The useful evidence identifies the asset, ownership and period. A popular trading persona alone is not a balance sheet.
