SASSA Social Grant Payment Dates: April 2026–March 2027
The following dates were published by the South African Department of Social Development following SASSA’s 2026/2027 schedule approval. These are the regular grant payment days, not SRD R370 paydays. The November dates are marked because SASSA has subsequently announced a review.

Are the November 2026 SASSA Payment Dates Changing?
They may change. The original 2026/27 calendar lists 3, 4 and 5 November for the three main categories. However, 4 November 2026 is the date of the South African local government elections and a public holiday. SASSA consequently announced a review of the November payment arrangements.
November dates are not final
As checked on 13 October 2026, I could not verify an official revised November timetable. The dates above remain visible for historical reference but should not be relied upon as the final November payment days. Recheck official SASSA announcements before making plans.

SRD R370 Payment Dates in 2026: How to Check Your Payday
The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R370 grant follows a different payment process from Older Persons, Disability and Children’s Grants. SRD payments can be processed in batches, and individual beneficiaries can have different paydays even within the same month.
There is no single officially verified October 2026 payday for every SRD R370 recipient. Some third-party websites publish estimated windows for late October, but they are not a substitute for the date assigned to your own application.

SRD status wording may vary according to the official system. These are general explanations, not an assessment of any reader’s individual grant.
Approved
Your application has been approved for the indicated period. Payment allocation or banking checks may still be outstanding.
Pending
The month's assessment or a required verification step has not been finalised. Check the official portal for next instructions.
Declined
That period was not approved. Read the reason given and follow the official appeal procedure if you disagree with the decision.
Payday shown
A payment date has been assigned. The actual time funds appear may also depend on the payment channel.
Approved, no payday yet
An approval may appear before a specific payment date is allocated. Continue checking for an update.
Banking details pending
SASSA may still require valid or verified payment details before releasing funds. Use the official portal for any necessary update.

Why Your SASSA Payment May Be Delayed
An approved grant or published payment day does not establish what happened in an individual case. Possible reasons for a delay include the following:
- Banking details: a missing, outdated or unverified payment method.
- Identity or application checks: further verification might be necessary before payment.
- Processing delays: administrative, payment-system or bank processing may affect when money becomes available.
- Grant review: certain beneficiaries may be asked to complete a review or provide additional information.
- Public holidays or schedule adjustments: official payment days can be changed when operational circumstances require it.
What should you do if money has not arrived?
First check the official status and any SASSA message, confirm whether your relevant payment day has passed, and verify that your payment details remain accurate. For unresolved cases, contact SASSA at 0800 60 10 11 or visit your nearest SASSA office. Do not change banking details repeatedly unless they genuinely need correction.

When Will an Approved SRD Appeal Be Paid?
If an appeal for a previously declined month succeeds, the appeal outcome and release of the resulting payment are separate steps. Approval does not by itself mean a payment will appear immediately.
