Cerebos is a long established brand that is a market leader in the retail salt market in the Southern Africa region.
Cerebos’ industrial business supplies quality salt to the food manufacturing sector, while the retail side supplies the consumer with an array of value added convenience products.
The company traces its roots back to England in 1892 when a chemist decided to mix calcium phosphate with salt to mend his daughter’s weak bones. He discovered that the combination gave the salt free-flowing properties, a first of its kind.
As they say, the rest is history, Cerebos has been an iconic South African brand since coming to the country in 1945.
